You will be part of our very experienced broker team in Copenhagen, that like all our other broker teams focus on both originators, traders and consumers in the growing international market. Your colleagues in the Copenhagen team work closely with 30 Brokers, execution and chartering specialists, in our other teams in Hamburg, Kaunas, Geneva, Barcelona and Sao Paulo consisting of more than 10 nationalities.

Copenhagen Merchants is continuously developing services and products for existing and new clients. Specifically, Copenhagen Merchants is developing and has rolled out a new innovative web-based agricultural information delivery platform – CM Navigator which aims to improve how grain is traded within the industry. And you will naturally be involved in the further development and commercialization of this.

Working in our Copenhagen office, you will work in the new neighborhood, Nordhavn, in exclusive surroundings, with 80 close colleagues and just 8 mins. walk from Orientkaj Metro Station.

Your responsibilities and tasks

You will in general be responsible for brokerage and developing brokerage of grains in a specific region i.e., Nordics, UK, Netherlands or Belgium. And you will naturally be involved in all brokerage related tasks including supporting execution and freight. And like all brokers you will support the further development of the CM Navigator trading platform, providing data and input such as price updates, news, S&D analyses and trade flows.

If you are not already an experienced broker, we know from experience, that people that thrives in the international brokerage environment, is characterized by being curious, openminded, word-keeping and by having sublime social skills, being good at establishing, developing, and retaining social relations. And we know from experience, that people that thrives in Copenhagen Merchants specifically, also has a profound interest for international business / commodities, is ambitious, and is flexible and pragmatic.

You are preferably already a broker within grain or other relevant commodities. Alternatively, you have another established know-how and knowledge about Agri-products, markets and clientele. Education is not important, but it would be an advantage if you within the last 5-10 years finished a Master of Science within International Business, Commodity Trading, or similar. You know the fundamentals and dynamics of S&D’s and hold solid IT skills – both in regard to MS Office and with some knowledge from working with other enterprise-systems like ERP, CRM, PowerBI, etc. Language-wise you are proficient in English – more languages just being an advantage.
