Full Stack Developer
Where Trading Meets Technology. And You Build What Traders Actually Use.
Help shape the platform used by commodity traders across the world - from Copenhagen to São Paulo, Geneva, Dubai and beyond.
Why This Role Matters
CM Navigator is growing fast - more users, more markets, more data, more complexity.
To keep the momentum, we’re looking for a Full Stack Developer who can strengthen and extend the core of the product: web platform, APIs, and the technical backbone that powers decision-making for commodity traders globally.
You’ll join a small, ambitious team with a startup mentality - backed by a financially strong, family-owned group (Copenhagen Merchants Group) with almost 50 years in global trade and logistics.
It’s the sweet spot: startup speed, real-world impact, long-term stability.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work across the stack - and across the business - turning market needs and data insights into a reliable, fast, and user-friendly platform.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Developing and evolving our web and mobile frontends in React and Next.js
- Building and maintaining backend services and APIs in Go (GoLang) used by global clients
- Running and improving our Kubernetes setup to ensure scale, stability, and uptime
- Working with PostgreSQL as the core database behind the platform
- Collaborating with our data team (Python notebooks, pipelines, models) to turn insights into features
- Exploring and integrating LLM/AI capabilities into the product where it adds real value
- Working closely with product and commercial teams to make sure we solve problems that matter to traders, operators, and analysts
You’ll be the person who helps turn ideas, data, and market needs into a robust, user-friendly platform.
Who We Think You Are
A developer who likes to understand why something is built - not just how.
You enjoy owning things end-to-end, designing clean architecture, and getting energy from shipping things that real users rely on.
We imagine you bring:
- 3+ years as a software engineer / full stack developer
- Experience from a SaaS and B2B product environment
- Solid experience with React + Next.js
- Experience with Go (GoLang) or strong backend experience and willingness to learn Go
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or willingness to learn it
- Hands on experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Comfort designing and working with APIs
- Curiosity about markets, trading, and global “physical” supply chains
- Interest in data features, dashboards, analytics, and working with data engineers
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience integrating LLMs via API (OpenAI or similar)
- Experience with commodity/logistics/financial markets
- Familiarity with Python notebooks (Jupyter) and data workflows
But above all: you build. And you make things happen.
Part of Something Bigger
Yes ... CM Navigator is a small team.
But we’re not “alone.”
We’re integrated into Copenhagen Merchants Group, giving you:
- stable family ownership (long term perspective)
- financial strength
- access to freight, logistics, terminals, and global trade expertise
- a unique SaaS solution sitting inside a commercial ecosystem you rarely find elsewhere
… and not at least the Culture Guardian, T.W. Heart.
It’s a rare combination: startup agility + group-level robustness.
The Setup You’ll Step Into
You’ll work at the intersection of tech, data, and real-world commodity markets - not hypothetical use-cases.
You’ll join a small, international team with:
- Strong mandate and influence over the product
- Short decision paths and direct access to leadership
- High ownership over your work and the codebase
- Freedom to explore new tools, technologies, and AI capabilities
- A culture built on trust, clarity, and collaboration
- The chance to help shape both your own development, the platform and the way we build it
Preferred location: Copenhagen
